Floyd Mayweather may hang up gloves over ‘no one left for him to fight anymore’

London - Boxing star Floyd Mayweather, who beat Miguel Cotto, is considering retiring from the sport.

The undefeated boxer, who won the World Boxing Association super welterweight title with a unanimous 12-round decision at the MGM Grand, says there is no one for him to fight and ‘a bout against Manny Pacquiao is not going to happen’.

The unbeaten 35-year-old champion late Saturday said he's leaning "80-20" toward retirement.

“There's really no one for me to fight anymore. If it was my last fight, I gave them a bang,” The Los Angeles Times quoted Mayweather, as saying.

The boxing champ, who is set to begin a jail term on June 1 on charges of domestic violence, may stretch upto August, which won’t give him enough number of days to train.

“I don't have to fight if I don't want to. They say to save the best for last, and if this was my last fight, it was a hell of a fight,” he said.

On a possibility of facing Flippino boxer Manny Pacquiao, Mayweather said, "It's not going to happen” as he believes that Pacquiao doesn't deserve a 50-50 split of revenue, because he contends that Mayweather as a brand generates more pay-per-view buys.
