In a huge sigh of relief for Indian boxer Vijender Singh, National Anti-Doping Agency (NADA) announced on Tuesday that the boxer has tested negative in the drug test.
London - Boxing champion Julio Cesar Chavez Junior, son of the legendary Julio Cesar Chavez, has struck a plea deal with the prosecutors, which would see him escape jail.
Chavez was hit with 3 crime charges following his arrest in Los Angeles, two for driving under influence of alcohol (DUI), and one for driving without a valid license.
Chavez pleaded no contest to one count of driving with a blood alcohol level of 0.08 or higher. The other DUI count was dropped, as was the license charge.
Chavez was sentenced to 3 years probation and ordered to attend 30 Alcoholic Anonymous meetings, which he already did, and his next court date's December 7th. -
