London -McLaren driver Jensen Button is in a grumpy mood as he is still not over with his long-running car handling problems ahead of the crucial European Grand Prix on Sunday.
After Friday's two sessions he was just twelfth fastest but his problems of lack of front grip were shared with most of the grid.
"It's very windy and that makes the circuit dusty being next to a beach," The Daily Mirror quoted Button, as saying.
When asked about his serious mood, a grouchy Button replied: "You can't be happy all the time.
Although the former champion was two places ahead of teammate Lewis Hamilton, there is still plenty of head-scratching over how he can change the set up to make the car faster.
"The car hasn't felt too bad today. I struggled quite a bit with front locking and it's not something you expect. We're not great but I don't think we're too bad. The issue of long runs is the strange area for us. The car doesn't feel too bad but the time just isn't there," Button said.
"There are a couple of things we are thinking of doing tomorrow morning which could be quite interesting. It's quite bumpy here and we had a bigger issue than most. We are quicker than we look over one lap but the issue is you could get a good lap out of it or you might not. It's on a knife edge," he added.
"We tried some changes which didn't improve things and made things worse in another area. Whether we can be competitive right at the front is difficult to say. We are going in the right direction," he said.
