Motorbike champ Riccardo Russoâ€™s `premature celebration turns sour`

Melbourne - Motorbike rider Riccardo Russo was left red faced when he started celebrating his victory a lap too early in an embarrassing case of miscalculation.

Russo showboated around the track after what he thought was an easy win in the Stock 600 category at the Italian CIV Championship, seemingly unaware that there was still one lap to go, News.com.au reported.

As the Italian continued celebrating, 13 other riders passed him, leaving him embarrassed in 14th place.

Alessandro Nocco claimed the winning prize.
