London - Former WBA heavyweight champion David Haye has branded rival Dereck Chisora as a natural born loser ahead of their grudge match on July 14 at Upton Park, and also expressed confidence that it was going to be a good night for him.
Haye, who is the bookies overwhelming favourite to win the bout, said he doesn't want to be remembered for his fight against Wladimir Klitshcko when he lost his WBA title on points to the Ukrainian.
"Ideally, I don't want to be remembered for that fight against Wladimir - I've had a lot of good nights in my career and I don't want to be remembered for a bad night. But against Chisora, I really believe it will be another good night for me... and goodnight from him!" The Daily Mirror quoted Haye, as saying.
"This is about beating up somebody who needs a good hiding. Dereck has done some bad things, both in the ring and outside boxing, yet he has never really been punished, he has never done any hard time. So I am going to take the law into my own hands - I have to be judge, jury and executioner. He is going to be punished, and punished real quick," he added.
"This fight can't do much in terms of my legacy because, in an ideal world, I would win back the world heavyweight title, and the best way to get to that point is to do a good job on Chisora," he said.
Haye further said: "Whoever loses this fight will be heading for oblivion, he will have nowhere left to go. Chisora is a natural born loser, and he will find a way to lose at Upton Park because whenever he has tried to step up in class - at British, European or world title level - he has been found wanting."
