`Grieving` Gary Barlow to perform at Olympics closing ceremony

London -  Gary Barlow, who has battled through one of the worst weeks of his life after he and wife Dawn lost their baby daughter Poppy, is set to perform at the Olympic closing  ceremony.

The brave Take That singer is bound to be on stage, despite his devastation – with his bandmates by his side, to make sure the group he found fame with take their place in a proud chapter  of British history.

“Gary is going through a terrible time. The last week has been awful, as everyone can understand,” the Sun quoted  a source as saying.

“The band have been there for him and totally understand if he doesn’t do the gig, Take That are on the running order and the organisers are prepared for all eventualities, but they all know Gary will be determined to perform.

“They haven’t rehearsed this week for obvious reasons but they are professionals and can turn it on under pressure. It will be a tough call for Gary but everyone will back his decision,” the  source added.

Kim Gavin is the man behind the event. He brought Take That’s ‘Circus and Progress’ Live tours together.

He is also a close friend of Barlow’s and will support him all the way.
