New York -  Baseball star Alex Rodriguez has put his waterfront Miami mansion on the market with an asking price of a whopping 38 million dollars.

South Florida real estate brokers said that the overall market is erratic, but wealthy buyers looking for trendy addresses will grab the opportunityl

“The high-end Miami market is out of control right now,” the New York Daily News quoted Jorge Alonso, an associate broker at Douglas Elliman Florida, as saying.

“The Russians and Brazilians are buying like crazy. It’s like everyone is racing to buy a trophy house,” he said.

Yankees third baseman, who has been on the disabled list since July with a broken hand, had bought the waterfront property when was romancing Cameron Diaz for 24 million-dollar.

The two were photographed in 2011, strolling around the grounds and inspecting construction on the nine-bedroom, 11-bathroom manse.

The two-story home has 12-foot, floor-to-ceiling glass windows that provide a panoramic view of the bay and the Miami skyline.

The 37-year-old sportsman broke up with Diaz before the project was complete. It’s not clear if he ever lived there.
