Seemingly unfazed at being ousted from the Asian Athletics Association, scam-tainted Suresh Kalmadi on Monday said losing the presidential re-election bid to Qatar’s Dahlan Jumaan Al-Hamad has actually given him a chance to work at the “grassroots” level.
“I have no issues today and I congratulate Mr Al-Hamad for being elected as President. I am rather relieved that I will be able to work at the grassroots level in athletics,” Mr. Kalmadi said after losing the vote during the ongoing AAA Congress in Pune.

Tamara Ecclestone’s ex `sold a kiss-and-tell story as she cheated on him`

London - Tamara Ecclestone’s former fiance, who is accused of blackmailing her for 200,000 pounds, has told a court that he once sold a kiss-and-tell story about the F1 heiress because she cheated on him.

Derek Rose, 33, briefly engaged to the socialite daughter of Formula One boss Bernie when she was 17, said that when the couple broke up he was quite bitter and wanted to get back at her, the Mirror reported.

He said that it made him look stupid and he has regretted it ever since.

He denies that he made a threat to reveal more intimate secrets to a newspaper until the 28-year-old model paid him, and blames his co-accused, student Jakir Uddin 20, from Birmingham, for trying to sell the story.

Rose said that he wouldn’t do it again for money. Both men have denied blackmailing Ecclestone but Rose, of Camden, North London, admitted at Southwark crown court that he kept a file labelled ‘Tamara’ for 10 years after they split as he wanted to show the collection to his grandkids.
