Romario to train West Bengal footballers

Kolkata (IANS)- As World Cup fever peaks, an upcoming Bengali entertainment channel is all set to start a soccer reality show to bring up football talents who will be guided by Brazilian legends Romario and Branco.

The reality show is a first of its kind on Indian television.

The talents will be scouted from various districts of West Bengal. They will be guided by Indian international player Subash Bhowmick, Romario and Branco and will play against a national club, said Tapas Kumar Bhattasaly, chief operating officer, Mahua Media private.

Romariao and Branco were members of the triumphant Brazilian team in the 1994 FIFA World Cup. Romario also bagged the golden boot award that goes to the top goalscorer of the World Cup.
