Dubai, Fri, Jan 22 2010 (PTI) - India opener Gautam Gambhir maintained his top rank and Sachin Tendulkar moved two rungs up to 13th in the ICC Rankings for Test batsmen.
By virtue of his century against Bangladesh in the second innings of the first Test which India won by 113 runs, Gambhir has further consolidated his position in the batting chart with 881 rating points, a huge 38 points ahead of second placed Graeme Smith of South Africa.
Tendulkar, who registered his 44th Test century in the same match, occupies the 13 spot in the chart with 744 points under his kitty, while his teammate VVS Laxman has also gained two spots to be placed 15th. However, Rahul Dravid has slipped five places to the 19th spot.
