Harris still not confident of getting Oz team place for Barbados Test

Barbados (West Indies) - Australian fast bowler Ryan Harris believes he will still miss a place in the playing eleven for the first Test match at the Kensington, Oval in Barbados  against the West Indies, despite shining in a three-day tour match.

Harris took four wickets against the Windies Board's President XI, as Australia dismissed them for 201 on the first day.

Ben Hilfenhaus, James Pattinson and Peter Siddle failed to make a mark during the tour match, as Harris finished with a figure of 4-22 off 13 overs, but he thinks he will still be the 12th man  during the first Test match.

"In a tour game, it's always good to get wickets, but I still feel Patto, Sidds and Hilf had a great summer. I only got a game (in the final two home Tests against India) because Patto got injured  and he bowled well again today," The Sydney Morning Herald quoted Harris, as saying.

"I still think that they'll start but, obviously, I want to put as much pressure on them as I can and, by taking some wickets, I think I've done that. If I play, I play. We've got to pick the best three  quicks to bowl the West Indies out and, whatever it takes to win Test matches, that's what I want," he added.

Harris believes the one thing that might go in has favor is his consistently good performances on dry wickets. He played a key role for Australia on wickets similar to ones in the Caribbean, in  last year's tour of Sri Lanka.

"That's probably the thing that is in my favour. Performing like I did over there helps but it's obviously different over here. There's no grass on them but they're a bit firmer," he added.
