London - England head coach Andy Flower hopes that his team would keep the lessons they learnt during the Sri Lanka series in mind for their away Test series against India.
Flower believes the England team is still not a finished product despite convincingly winning the Colombo Test by eight wickets against Sri Lanka.
He believes that though the England batsmen are getting used to playing spin bowling effectively, there is still some more work required to be done.
"We are not yet the finished article playing against spin just because we won one Test in the subcontinent. But there has been improvement and now we have to continue to build on the lessons learned and make sure they stick for India," The Daily Star quoted Flower, as saying.
Flower admits the big test against spin will come on the flat wickets in India.
And although he still has confidence in his current batters, he has called on the younger players to push through.
"It is not a closed shop and it is up to them to push the top seven. That drives up standards which can only be a good thing," he said.
