In a huge sigh of relief for Indian boxer Vijender Singh, National Anti-Doping Agency (NADA) announced on Tuesday that the boxer has tested negative in the drug test.
Karachi - A Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) statement has said Cricket Canada has expressed its desire to send their cricket team to Pakistan, much to the relief of the PCB, which had been trying to revive international cricket in the country for over three years now.
"PCB has thanked Cricket Canada for their interest in sending their national team to Pakistan. PCB believes in strengthening the relationship further between the two boards," said the PCB statement.
A deadly militant attack on the Sri Lankan team bus during the Lahore Test in March 2009 made Pakistan a no-go zone for international teams.
The PCB said the tour was expected take place after September this year and hoped the visit would help re-establish the country as a safe venue for sports, reports Sport 24.
Efforts to restart international cricket in Pakistan were hit last month when Bangladesh postponed an agreed tour over security issues.
