London - Former England all rounder Andrew Flintoff has said Tim Bresnan shouldn't be compared with him, and added that one should appreciate the fact that he is just Bresnan.
Bresnan, who has played 13 winning Test has drawn comparisons with England greats Flintoff and Ian Botham. But double Ashes hero Flintoff believes this should not be the case.
"It's hard for any young all-rounder coming into the side after Botham. You get the label and we've never really replaced Botham. I did alright for a little bit but Bresnan's not a replacement for me," The Sun quoted Flintoff, as saying.
"He's just brilliant, and, I don't think people appreciate what he does. He's obviously very talented as well, but he's strong. He does the hard yards," he added.
"When it's swinging and nothing is happening, he is like a carthorse. He gets his head down and gets on with it. And I don't think we've seen the best of Bresnan with the bat. He's averaging well but I think there's more to come," he said.
