London - Team GB athletics captain Dai Green has said British athletes are only interested in winning medals for the country, and don't expects to be paid following the demands of US athletes to get paid for participating in Olympics.
Various top athletes from Britain have slammed a U.S.-led campaign to be paid for competing in the Olympics, The Daily Star reports.
American athletes have complained it is unfair they do not receive wages, but the 400m hurdler Green insists they are only interested in medals.
"We never took part for financial gain. I don't think any of us thinks we deserve the right to be paid," Green said.
