London - Gold and silver medallist Victoria Pendleton, who has won millions of fans for wearing her heart on her sleeve, cannot wait for the Olympics to end because it means she will finally stop crying.

The glamour girl of British cycling bade an emotional farewell to a glittering 20-year career with an unexpected defeat in the sprint finals.

But the 31-year-old has admitted that she is fed up with the high emotion of it all after joining the ranks of athletes shedding tears at an Olympics dubbed the Crying Games.

She even revealed that she is banned from playing board games with her brother and sister because she is so competitive that it always ends emotionally.

“We don’t do that because it always ends in tears – it gets a bit too competitive,” the Daily Express quoted her as saying.

“I am really looking forward to new challenges, a new set of things to concentrate on in terms of perfecting a different skill or working on a different aspect of another career path.

"I just feel like I’ve done this and it’s time to move on,” she added.
