Sutherland says 'busy' Warne more than welcome to help Oz cricket improve

Sydney -: Cricket Australia (CA) chief executive James Sutherland has said Shane Warne is more than welcome to help improve team's performance by working with the spin bowlers.

However, Sutherland, who had a good, robust discussion with the outspoken former champion on Sunday, is not holding his breath for that to happen, News.com.au reports.

Sutherland said Warne has a very busy schedule, but they would love to see him having closer links with our spin bowlers, as he has in the past.

Pace great Dennis Lillee had recently accepted a role helping the fast bowlers and Sutherland said it would fantastic to have the two greats of Australia bowling involved in their programs.

Sutherland added they certainly talked about the opportunities and how and when they might arise.

Again referring to Warne's busy schedule, Sutherland he wouldn't want to forestall when those opportunities might be other than to suggest they would be likely down the track.

Starting with a tirade on Twitter last week, Warne has been scathingly critical of the way the national teams are managed, claiming muppets are in charge.

Warne then followed up with a manifesto for change, posting part two on his website yesterday and promising two more essays later.

The latest one claims the entire cricket family, fans, players, broadcasters, sponsors, CA, etc are unhappy, which was laughed off by board chairman Wally Edwards.
