In a huge sigh of relief for Indian boxer Vijender Singh, National Anti-Doping Agency (NADA) announced on Tuesday that the boxer has tested negative in the drug test.
London - England’s one-day squad coach Ashley Giles has said that although he was sensitive during his playing days, he has become ruthless after becoming a coach.
The former English cricketer, who had dropped wicketkeeper Craig Kieswetter from the Twenty20 and 50-over series in New Zealand, has said that he has to be more tougher as a coach by making strong decisions, the Sun reports.
According to Giles, it is necessary to reprimand a player over a wrongdoing but there is no need to make the team look bold or brave. Stating that such decisions are a part of being a coach, Giles said that a coach loses respect from his players if he does not act against anything that has been not been done in the proper way.
While England now focus on the Test series with the Kiwis, Giles will be busy devising plans to land the Champions Trophy, the report added.
