London - Former girlfriend of Swedish football manager Sven-Goran Eriksson, Nancy Dell’Olio has been left "stressed and upset" by an "obsessed" male fan who regularly shows up at her house, leaving unwanted gifts and waiting for a chance to meet her.
The fan, Edward from Essex, has even asked the ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ star to move in with him during the two months that he has been following her.
Dell’Olio, 50, and her agent, Ben Douglas have said that they would report the matter to the police if the man’s behaviour does not stop.
"This guy is more of an overly-devoted fan than a stalker and we feel like he is not trying to cause Nancy any harm," the Daily Express quoted Douglas as saying.
"But wherever Nancy is, he is almost always there, turning up with gifts such as flowers or teddies.
"The problem is that Nancy lives alone and he is turning up not at her workplace but at her home, so that is worrying.
"We are going to have a private word with this guy and see if we can handle this nicely but Nancy will not rule out going to the police," he added.
