Drogba poised to join Chinese football club

London - Chelsea football star Didier Drogba is poised to join the Chinese side Shanghai Shenhua in the summer.

According to the Daily Express, Drogba is poised to sign an incredible 270,000-pound-a-week deal to quit Chelsea and join Chinese side Shanghai Shenhua in the summer.

The Chinese club has been chasing the Ivory Coast striker for some time and are close to finalising details on a three-year deal for Drogba, 33, to join the country’s Super League.

Drogba will link up again with Nicolas Anelka, who left Chelsea this month for 200,000-pounds-a-week, and Shenhua owner Zhu Jun said: “It’s like flirting with a girl. Perhaps she will resist you at first, but if you continue to ask her out, it always ends well. Never give up.”
