Scottish Football Association bans Glasgow Rangers' owner Craig Whyte for life

Glasgow - The Scottish Football Association (SFA) has banned Glasgow Rangers' owner Craig Whyte for life from any kind of involvement in Scottish football.

The SFA has also handed over a 12-month transfer ban to Rangers, who are in administration these days.

A fine of 160,000 pounds has also been imposed on the Rangers, while Whyte, who was charged with not being a fit and proper person to be a director, faces a fine of 200,000 pounds.

Whyte has said the ban on him doesn't affect his life, but expressed his concern for the Rangers.

"It doesn't affect my life, I'm just disappointed what it does to the Rangers. It's an outrage," The BBC quoted Whyte, as saying.

Rangers were charged with six breaches, with five guilty verdicts and one 'not proven', and the transfer embargo means they can only sign players under the age of 18 for the next year.
