In a huge sigh of relief for Indian boxer Vijender Singh, National Anti-Doping Agency (NADA) announced on Tuesday that the boxer has tested negative in the drug test.
London - Chelsea striker Salomon Kalou has said Roberto Di Matteo's appointment as interim manager after the sacking of Andre Villas-Boas had changed the club's fortune, and personally for him it was a positive development.
Kalou said Di Matteo gave every player a chance to prove himself, which in turn brought back the self-belief in many players that was missing under Villas-Boas.
"Di Matteo turned everything around this season. He gave attention to every player. He made it clear every player had a chance. He also made us fight again and made sure we are a really united bunch of players," the Sun quoted Kalou, as saying.
"For me it worked out well. Under Andre Villas-Boas I hardly got a game. Sometimes I even ended up in the stands. I feared I was heading for the same door as Alex. He had to leave," he added.
"But Di Matteo thought I deserved another chance. I got that chance because of all the hard work I put in. And I'm proud I contributed to us getting to the Champions League final by scoring at Benfica in the quarter-final," he said.
Chelsea play Bayern Munich at Allianz Arena on Saturday in the Champions League final, and Kalou is expected to start on the bench for the game.
