Man U striker Berbatov confirms he would leave club due to lack of playing time

London - Manchester United striker Dimitar Berbatov has said he would certainly be leaving the 19 times English champions due to lack of playing opportunities at the club.

Berbatov started in just five Premier league games this season despite United taking a year's option on his contract in March, and admitted to a fall-out with manager Sir Alex Ferguson.

"My time at Manchester United is running out. I no longer feel like a valuable part of this team. I think I did well in the few opportunities that I received. I am a little frustrated by the way this happened, I do not think I deserved it," the Sun quoted Berbatov, as saying.

"But I have dignity and I stopped going to such meetings, it is clear that I'm leaving United. It's obvious that I have to leave. I'm looking for a new place now. I know I can still play at the highest level," he added.

The Bulgarian insisted he would never join United's bitter rivals Manchester City because he is a loyal person.

"I would never join Man City, I am a loyal person after all. I had the opportunity to sign for City in the past, but I chose United," Berbatov said.
