London - Former England football star Gary Lineker is being tipped to front British Telecom’s coverage of live Premier League football.

BT bosses want a big name to anchor their new sports channel after bagging a three-billion-pound package with Sky, The Sun reports.

And BBC Match of the Day host Linekar, 51, left, tops their list.

ITV rival Adrian Chiles, 45, and Beeb babe Gabby Logan, 39, are also in the frame after BT coughed up for a three-year deal to show top-flight games.

The telecom giant will show 38 matches for the 2013-16 seasons including 18 of the biggest games.
