London -  Victoria Beckham, who is suffering from short sightedness, has overcome the problem of finding that perfect spectacle by designing her very own range.

The former Spice Girl has revealed that although she needs reading glasses, she never wears them during public appearances, as she feels too self-conscious about how they look.

“I do need to wear glasses but I haven’t found glasses that suit me or that I particularly like,” the Daily Mail quoted her as telling WWD.

“I've always been quite self-conscious, so that's why I've decided to do them myself.

The mum-of-four launched her optical collection for spring/summer 2013 on Monday, which includes six styles.

The range been manufactured in partnership with Cutler and Gross and will go on sale at retailers at Silmo Paris from January 2013. The glasses will range between 295 pounds to 340 pounds.

The designs will include aviator styles and large dark frames, some of them being unisex, while others that are more feminine.

Every piece in the collection is handcrafted in Italy and bears the designer’s trademark 'V' tip at the end of each arm.
