Seemingly unfazed at being ousted from the Asian Athletics Association, scam-tainted Suresh Kalmadi on Monday said losing the presidential re-election bid to Qatar’s Dahlan Jumaan Al-Hamad has actually given him a chance to work at the “grassroots” level.
“I have no issues today and I congratulate Mr Al-Hamad for being elected as President. I am rather relieved that I will be able to work at the grassroots level in athletics,” Mr. Kalmadi said after losing the vote during the ongoing AAA Congress in Pune.

Walsh takes a dig at Cheryl Cole's stardom

London - Ex-boyzone manager Louis Walsh says singer Nadine Coyle would have had a successful solo career had she married a famous footballer just like her Girls Aloud bandmate Cheryl Cole.

Cheryl was married to footballer Ashley Cole for four years before ending their marriage in 2010.

"But she (Nadine) didn't marry a footballer. If she'd married a footballer she'd have been a big star," The Gaurdian magazine quoted Walsh as saying.

Walsh is currently seen as a judge on reality show "The X Factor".
