Paris - Former International Monetary Fund (IMF) chief Dominique Strauss-Kahn has hit back at allegations he had sex with prostitutes at orgies, saying that he had no idea that they were hookers.
He insisted he could not make out whether they were hookers or not because all girls at such parties were naked, The Sun reports.
His explanation followed the emergence of mobile phone records, showing he bedded ten high-class hookers who all charge over 1,200 pounds a time.
"There is no way he could have known they were prostitutes. At these parties, people were not dressed,” his lawyer said.
"I defy you to tell the difference between a naked prostitute and any other naked woman," he added.
Strauss-Kahn has been hit by a series of sex scandals since he was cleared of trying to rape a New York hotel chambermaid last year.
