Seemingly unfazed at being ousted from the Asian Athletics Association, scam-tainted Suresh Kalmadi on Monday said losing the presidential re-election bid to Qatar’s Dahlan Jumaan Al-Hamad has actually given him a chance to work at the “grassroots” level.
“I have no issues today and I congratulate Mr Al-Hamad for being elected as President. I am rather relieved that I will be able to work at the grassroots level in athletics,” Mr. Kalmadi said after losing the vote during the ongoing AAA Congress in Pune.

Obama holds 5-point lead over Romney in Ohio, finds poll

Washington - President Barack Obama has a five-point lead over Republican presidential rival Mitt Romney in key swing state of Ohio, a new poll has found.

According to the Public Policy Polling, nearly 51 percent respondents prefer to vote for Obama as compared to 46 percent who prefer Romney.

The poll found that 19 percent of Ohioans said that they have already voted and Obama has a 76-24 advantage with them, Politico reports.

Ohioans said that Democratic running mate Joe Biden won the vice presidential debate against Republican running mate Paul Ryan, 46-37, the report added.
