Hyderabad, March 22, 2010 (PTI) - Over six-and-a-half months after he ascended the throne, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister K. Rosaiah finally moved into his official residence at Begumpet here on Monday.
Rosaiah, till now, stayed in his own house at SR Nagar and also used it as his camp office. But with concerns raised over the security and also the inconvenience faced in conducting official work from his own house, the Chief Minister agreed to move into the official residence.
The government did some modifications to the official residence in accordance with ‘vastu’ after late Chief Minister Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy’s family vacated it two months ago.
Rosaiah and his family members conducted a special pooja before moving into the official residence today.
Union Urban Development Minister S. Jaipal Reddy, a few State Ministers, Chief Secretary S.V. Prasad, DGP R.R. Girish Kumar and some MLAs attended the ceremony.
