Sheryl Sandberg denies Facebook has `teenager problem`

Washington – Facebook’s COO Sheryl Sandberg has reportedly denied that the company is experiencing any sort of ‘teen problem’ following CFO David Ebersman’s revelation that the teen population on the social networking giant is plummeting.

Apart from the revelation, Facebook’s recent desperate measures to acquire auto-destruct photo-sharing app Snapchat that is popular with youngsters, was seen as a testimony to Ebersman’s concerns.

However, Sandberg has clearly rubbished the ‘out of proportion’ concerns and said that overall US teen usage of Facebook remains stable and the majority of them use the site almost everyday, AllThingsD reports.

The COO further pointed that being a decade old company, their target is not to be the newest or coolest but to be the most useful to people.

On Snapchat acquisition measures, Sandberg said that it is part of the market where each company wants to grow and Facebook’s attempt was to be part of the growing market with more products and services rather than a shrinking one, the report added.
