New Delhi: Over the years, we have seen the best of spinners being decoded by teams, players with the help of advanced technology. Sunil Narine is not new to international cricket. But even today, he is respected all across the world by batsmen who look for an opportunity to get off-strike when the West Indian is bowling.

Narine has been an integral part of the KKR squad, a side which registered its record 11th consecutive win in T20 matches after a convincing win over Lahore Lions in their second match of the Champions League Twenty20.

Let’s have a look at Narine’s figures for CLT20. In the 8 overs he has bowled so far, he has conceded just 18 runs and has scalped four wickets. He also bowled a maiden over against the Lions, which is an incredible effort from a spinner in the slam-bang version of the game.

KKR last lost a match in T20 against Rajasthan Royals at Ahmedabad on May 5 earlier this year. There has been no looking back from there on for them as they won the next nine matches, the last being the IPL final against Kings XI Punjab. They are on a roll even in CLT20 where they have defeated Chennai Super Kings and Lions in the first two matches.

There is also a lot of healthy competition between the overseas players. Andre Russell’s match-winning knock in the first match has extended Jacques Kallis’s wait for a comeback into the team. The spinners too have been in fine form and their team management now has an interesting task ahead of them to make the best use of the available resources.

KKR now take on Perth Scorchers in their next match and it would be intersting to see whether the Australia-based franchise can halt their impressive winning streak.
