Not only do they satisfy the taste buds but also energize the body. It is a perfect excuse to stay on the dinner table after having a heavy meal. Here are some mouth-watering recipes that will allow you to sit on the dinner table for a longer time.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ff9900;font-size: medium\"><b>Badam Ka Halwa :<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Ingredients<\/b><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"lazy img2\" alt=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/www.indiavision.com\/about-india\/wp-content\/themes\/biggestnews\/front-page\/images\/transparent.gif\" data-original=\"\/images\/img23.jpg\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" border=\"0\" \/><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>2 cups Badam<\/li>\n<li>2\u00bd cups Sugar<\/li>\n<li>2 drops Kesar (Saffron)<\/li>\n<li>1 cup Ghee<\/li>\n<li>1 cup Milk<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Method <\/b><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Leave the almonds in hot water for 1 hour.<\/li>\n<li>Remove the outer skin and grind to a paste with the milk.<\/li>\n<li>Make sugar syrup to 1 cup milk and boil till it reaches a one-string consistency.<\/li>\n<li>Add the badam paste and cook till it thickens.<\/li>\n<li>Add the kesar colour.<\/li>\n<li>Add ghee little by little stirring continuously on low heat.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p align=\"justify\"><span style=\"color: #ff9900;font-size: medium\"><b>Carrot Halwa :<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Ingredients<\/b><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"lazy img2\" alt=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/www.indiavision.com\/about-india\/wp-content\/themes\/biggestnews\/front-page\/images\/transparent.gif\" data-original=\"\/images\/img24.jpg\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" border=\"0\" \/><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>1 kg Carrots<\/li>\n<li>1\u00bd liter Milk<\/li>\n<li>1 teaspoon Cardamom seeds<\/li>\n<li>3\/4 cup Water<\/li>\n<li>3 tablespoons Ghee<\/li>\n<li>2 tablespoons Raisins<\/li>\n<li>2 tablespoons Almonds<\/li>\n<li>2 tablespoons Pistachios<\/li>\n<li>450 grams Sugar<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Method<\/b><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>\n<p align=\"justify\">Wash and grate the carrots. Soak the raisins in water for 30 minutes. Blanch and shred the nuts.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p align=\"justify\">Put the water to boil, when it starts boiling add the grated carrots. Cook for 5-7 minutes.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p align=\"justify\">Add the milk. Cook on a low heat. Stir occassionaly. Add sugar, mix well and cook till the sugar has dissolved and all the milk has been absorbed properly.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p align=\"justify\">Add ghee and simmer for 2-3 minutes. Add the slightly crushed cardamoms and the raisins. Mix well.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p align=\"justify\">Remove the gajjar halwa from heat and arrange in a serving dish. Garnish with almonds and pistachios. Serve cold, hot or at room temperature.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p align=\"justify\"><span style=\"color: #ff9900;font-size: medium\"><b>Shrikhand :<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Ingredients<\/b><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"lazy img2\" alt=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/www.indiavision.com\/about-india\/wp-content\/themes\/biggestnews\/front-page\/images\/transparent.gif\" data-original=\"\/images\/img25.jpg\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" border=\"0\" \/><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>1 kg. Thick curd<\/li>\n<li>3\/4 cup powdered sugar<\/li>\n<li>a few strands saffron<\/li>\n<li>1 tablespoon warm milk<\/li>\n<li>2 teaspoons cardamom powder (elaichi)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>For the garnish<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>slivers of pistachios and almonds<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Method<\/b><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>\n<p align=\"justify\">Hang the curds in a muslin cloth in a cool place for approximately 4 hours until all the liquid (whey) has drained off<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p align=\"justify\">Rub the saffron into the warm milk until it dissolves.Mix together the hung curds, sugar, saffron mixture and cardamom in a bowl and churn using a hand blender.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p align=\"justify\">Place in the refrigerator.Serve cold garnished with slivers of pistachios and almonds.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/td>\n<td width=\"10\"><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Indian desserts are a perfect delight in every season.
