Beaches destroyed: Jobs gone, lives hit

India has a 5700km-long coastline and 25 per cent of it, i.e. 1500 km, has been destroyed because of environmental problems created by man. It’s not just the beaches that are lost, it’s also the related impact on the 200 million people whose lives are affected. NDTV’s Dr Prannoy Roy discusses the reasons behind the erosion of our coastline and its environmental effect.
