Meghnad Desai: A great economist and teacher

Lord Desai defines himself as ‘stropy’, which is British slang for rebellious, irrepressible and outrageous. An economist and a teacher at the London School of Economics, he left India at a young age and knew he would never come back. He is one of the few economists ever to take Marxist economics seriously.
