BJP blocks trains in Bihar to push demand for special status

The Centre’s announcement of special status to Seemandhra – the region of Andhra Pradesh that will form the residuary state once Telangana is carved out – has evoked sharp reactions cutting across party lines in Bihar. The Bihar BJP has organised a Rail Roko agitation today to demand special category status for the state. Many Express and local trains are stopped at different stations across the state because of the protest.
