Muzaffarnagar: Riot victims return to vote

With record voter turnout at 68%, the riot hit district of Muzaffarnagar had relatively peaceful elections. But what was most significant was the fact that hundreds of riot victims went back to their villages, where their family members had been killed and houses burnt during the riots. They returned home for the first time in 7 months, only to exercise their right to vote.
