2 militants killed in 20-hour-long encounter near Srinagar

A 20-hour-long stand-off between militants and security forces in Ahmednagar on the outskirts of Srinagar ended this evening. The two Lashkar-e-Taiba militants, who were holed up inside a house in the congested residential area, have been killed. Two policemen have been injured in the encounter that began on Sunday evening.
