Veteran debutant vs Maharaja of Patiala in contest for Amritsar

The fate of Punjab’s prominent faces has been sealed in the battle for the 13 seats of the state. But no other contest has been as closely watched as the three cornered fight for Amritsar, with BJP’s Leader of Opposition in Rajya Sabha, Arun Jaitley making his Lok Sabha debut against Punjab’s former chief minister Capt. Amarinder Singh, a veteran of 13 elections and noted eye surgeon Dr. Daljit Singh.
