Villagers at Saghat in Varanasi allege embezzlement of welfare funds by officers

On News Point, we visit Saghat village in Varanasi where we find that just like most other villages, the residents here do not get to avail the benefits of most government schemes or have to face a runaround before obtaining them. Starting from primary school education and mid-day meal schemes till MNREGA, the poor who are entitled to these schemes allege corruption and embezzlement of funds by the officials in charge.
