Domestic help found dead at MP’s house in Delhi, torture suspected

A young woman who worked as a domestic help at the Delhi residence of a Bahujan Samajwadi Party MP, Dhananjay Singh, has been found dead with injuries on the head, chest, stomach and arms. The police suspect torture and are questioning the lawmaker’s wife Jagriti Singh. The MP says he had filed for divorce and stayed at a different house nearby. He also claims that he was at his constituency Jaunpur in Uttar Pradesh when his wife called him about the death.
