NDA set to eclipse UPA’s Aadhaar programme

Tonight on The Buck Stops Here: Is the UPA’s flagship Aadhaar programme going to be scrapped? It is clear that the BJP government will push through a National Identity Number programme to replace the Aadhaar project. This sounds like another colossal exercise and raises a lot of questions. What happens to the efforts of the more than 60 crore people who enrolled in the programme to get an Aadhaar card? Can India seriously afford such a serious wastage of national resources?
