Modi shocker – railway fare hiked by 14.2 percent

The Buck Stops Here: The Modi government has introduced a whopping 14.2 per cent hike in railway fares. Are the “aache din” that the BJP had spoken of really here? However, the larger reality of the financially bleeding Indian Railways has to be taken under consideration. Passenger traffic is being majorly cross subsidised by freight services. Is the new government taking decisions that the UPA government failed to take?
