Muslim quota – votebank politics?

Tonight on Left, Right & Centre : The Maharashtra government’s controversial decision to give Muslims and Marathas reservations evokes a strong reaction from the Centre which calls it unconstitutional. Will these quotas even hold up in court? Is this votebank politics by the Congress-NCP government ahead of state elections?
