There was uproar in Parliament over the BJP’s move to amend a law that would allow former telecom regulatory boss Nripendra Misra to take over as PM Narendra Modi’s Principal Secretary. As the opposition calls it unethical, is the government justified in amending the law which was brought in to stop top bureaucrats from being rewarded with plum government assignments?
