For five years autopsies have been conducted in open air in this town

Open air autopsies might sound like something reserved for battlefields and emergency situations, but they have been a reality in Garhakota in Madhya Pradesh for the last five years. Five years ago the roof of the postmortem room of local health center collapsed. Ever since then, official apathy has led doctors to conduct autopsies in open air.
