Constable killed on duty while trying to stop alleged sand smuggling

A police constable, who intercepted an alleged sand smuggling tractor, was killed when he was run over by the vehicle, in Tamil Nadu’s Vellore district on Sunday. Sub-Inspector P Rajan and constable Kanagaraj, on information that sand was being illegally transported, intercepted a tractor and asked its driver to halt the vehicle.
