PM Modi arrives in Nepal, seeks ‘new chapter’ in bilateral ties

Prime Minister Narendra Modi today arrived in Kathmandu on a two-day visit to Nepal. This is the first bilateral trip by an Indian Prime Minister to Nepal in 17 years. Mr Modi is trying to forge a new relationship with Nepal and start a “new chapter” in bilateral ties that will serve as a model and catalyst for regional partnership, according to an official statement by the Prime Minister’s Office.
