Power companies allege e-rickshaws steal power worth Rs 216 crores annually

Amidst allegations by traffic police about e-rickshaws flouting traffic rules, now power companies allege that there is a massive mafia that supplies e-rickshaws with stolen electricity. Although the government introduced e-rickshaws, nothing was done for providing charging sources to power these rickshaws – most of which are being driven by homeless migrants. (Audio in Hindi)
