Telangana survey – fears justified?

Left, Right & Centre: Nothing controversial about it, says K Chandrashekar Rao or KCR, the chief minister of the new state of Telangana about a mammoth census survey that’s meant to ensure that government schemes go directly to the ones who need it the most. Nonetheless, with a campaign full of rhetoric against people from residual state of Seemandhra, there have been concerns over whether this survey, even if it doesn’t have a nativity clause will fuel subtle ethnic profiling and what that may mean, if anything for non-Telangana people living in the capital Hyderabad. What kind of precedent does this set? That’s our main focus on the show tonight.
