Delhi: Man allegedly throws acid on teenage girl, friend for refusing marriage proposal

A teenager and her friend were attacked with acid in the Begumpur area of West Delhi, allegedly by a man whose marriage proposal the girl had turned down. The accused, Manoj, allegedly threw acid on Parvati (18) and her friend Gayatri (16) while they were on their way to a market on Sunday evening, police said. He managed to escape and is currently missing.
